Local pickup scheduling lets WooCommerce customers choose a collection date at checkout. If your team hands over orders by appointment, you can also let customers pick a time. This guide walks through both setups with Dayslot for WooCommerce.
1. Enable pickup and enter the collection address
Install and activate Dayslot. Open its setup wizard, configure pickup and enter the address where customers should collect their orders. Check the address in the checkout preview so customers know where to go before placing an order.
2. Start with date-only pickup
In the free version, a customer can choose Pickup and select a day. This suits shops that can hand over prepared orders throughout their opening hours. For example, a bakery that takes Friday collections can accept a Friday pickup date and tell customers when the counter is open.
3. Add pickup time slots if you hand over orders by appointment
Dayslot Pro adds time selection, separate pickup hours, limits and days off. If you hand over orders only between 16:00 and 19:00, configure those pickup hours and set a limit that matches how many collections your team can handle. Pro also supports multiple pickup points with their own schedules and limits.
4. Test the pickup flow on your checkout
- Add a product to your cart and open checkout in a private browser window.
- Choose Pickup and confirm that the collection address and available dates are correct.
- If you enabled pickup times, check that the available hours match your schedule and that closed dates cannot be booked.
- Place a test order and confirm that it appears as pickup on the WooCommerce order and in the Dayslot calendar.
If your shop offers delivery as well, follow the WooCommerce delivery time slots guide to set up and test that option separately.
